Dr. Towey is a full-time Professor of Psychology at Mercy College, a Minority Serving Undergraduate Institution, where, in June 1999, he was awarded an NIMH training grant designed to increase the number of students who enter graduate programs related to mental health research. He also co-directs the Psychophysiology Laboratory part time, where he is a Principal Investigator and Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. Research interests include EEG/ERP abnormalities in obsessive-compulsive disorder, affective disorders, and schizophrenia, and their relation to such key clinical features as diagnostic subtype, symptom severity, and treatment response.
